Contact
There is no contact form and no newsletter sign-up on this site, because we do not want your personal details. Corrections to a rate or a calculation are the messages we most want to get, and this page explains what to send.
You can reach us at contact@statelinecalc.com.
We read everything that arrives. We are a small operation, so a reply may take a few days, and messages that are plainly automated outreach will not get one.
Reporting a wrong number
This is the message we act on fastest. Every rate we publish is read from an official source and dated, but tax figures change and mistakes happen. If our number disagrees with the agency’s number, the agency is right and we have a defect to fix.
To make it quick to check, please include:
- the page address;
- the figure you think is wrong, and what it should be;
- where you saw the correct figure, ideally a link to the IRS, the SSA or the state agency.
You do not need all three. Even “the Washington page looks off” is worth sending.
Requesting a state
State pages are written one at a time, because each needs its own rates read from that state’s own agency and verified before anything is published. If the state you need is not live yet, tell us which one and it moves up the list. See the state index for what is available today.
What we cannot do
We cannot give you personal tax, financial or legal advice, review your return, or tell you what to put on your W-4. We are not accountants or advisers, and answering questions like those would be both unhelpful and irresponsible. For anything specific to your situation, speak to a professional licensed in your state. See the disclaimer.
Press, linking and reuse
You are welcome to link to any page here, and to quote a figure with a link back. The tax rates themselves are public facts and belong to nobody. Our page text, design and calculator code do not — see the terms of use.
Privacy of what you send
Email you send us is stored in our mailbox and nowhere else. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. See the privacy policy for what the site itself collects.
